Apparently, Davido’s father, Adedeji Adeleke is a very proud dad who has keenly followed his son’s progress as a musician over the years. Adeleke professed his admiration for his son after Davido’s ‘A Good Time’ concert in Lagos, telling him just how proud he is of the singer. Davido revealed this as he shared a screenshot of his Whatsapp chat with his father who attended his headline concert, ‘A Good time’, which held last night, December 28th. The former president said this when he paid a surprise visit to the governor at the government house, Kaduna, on Wednesday. An operative of the anti-graft agency, EFCC, on Wednesday narrated to a Federal High Court in Abuja, how a bank account and several properties were discovered in the name of Faisal, son of a former Chairman, Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), Abdulrasheed Maina. The official, Mohammed Goje, is a member of Pension Fraud Team of the anti-graft agency that investigated the Mainas. Mr Goje gave evidence as the second prosecution witness in Faisal’s ongoing trial. PREMIUM TIMES reported how Faisal was arrested alongside his father in September. He is accused by the EFCC of operating an account with the United Bank for Africa (UBA) which he used to divert various sums of money, including N58 million. He pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge filed against him. The jet belonging to an unidentified Nigerian man has been seized by the United States Federal agents at the Peachtree DeKalb Airport on Tuesday. According to WSB-TV, their correspondent, Aaron Diamant, witnessed the seizure of the plane in a case that is said to be related to an international fraud scheme. Diamant, who shared a video from the seizure on his verified Twitter handle said, “We’re alongside Federal agents as they seize a jet at @PDKAirport.” It was reported that the federal agents went through the plane for evidence with a K-9 team for drugs and other contraband. Special Agent Thor Whitmore of the Department of Homeland Security said, “For the most part, people don’t even understand. They don’t know what’s happening in Atlanta, Georgia. British-born boxer Anthony Joshua who is of Nigerian descent will present his heavyweight belts to President Muhammadu Buhari at a yet to be announced date. The Presidency has reacted to the decision by Punch Newspaper to henceforth refer to President Muhammadu Buhari as General Buhari. In a notice titled “Buhari’s lawlessness: Our Stand”, Punch stated that it will “henceforth prefix Buhari’s name with his rank as a military dictator in the 80s ‘Major General’ and refer to his administration as a regime until they purge themselves of their insufferable contempt for the rule of law. Azeez Fashola a.k.a Naira Marley’s case of credit card fraud was adjourned by a Federal High Court which sat in Lagos on Wednesdat December 11. The case was adjourned till Thursday December 12, as the defence counsel Mr Olalejan Ojo (SAN) was not available. Recall that Naira Marley was arraigned before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on 11-count charge bordering on credit card fraud. The Kogi State Police Command has paraded Ocholi Edicha and five others for allegedly burning to death the PDP woman leader a day after the State Governorship Election. Addressing Newsmen in his office, the Commissioner of Police,  said the suspects would be arraigned in court very soon. Ocholi Edicha, during interrogation confessed that he led the gang that burnt, Mrs Salome Abuh – the Police commissioner said. He said the suspects further confessed that they were responsible for the series of armed robbery incidences in Ochadamu and its environment. The Commissioner of Police condemned the killing of Mrs Salome , called for calm and assured that the perpetrators would not go unpunished, adding that efforts were being made to arrest other fleeing members of the gang. The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Dame Pauline Tallen, said the ministry is sponsoring a bill to ban early marriage and make elementary schooling compulsory for all girls. Dame Tallen was speaking in an interview with Journalists, in Jos, Plateau State. According to the minister, President Buhari’s administration has made elementary education free and compulsory for Nigerian children, particularly for the girl child. She strongly believes that the solution to reducing early marriage of Nigerian girls is to ensure they go to school. Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has condemned the invasion of the courtroom by Department of State Services (DSS) to rearrest #RevolutionNow convener, Omoyele Sowore on Friday December 6.
