One of the best moments in a the life of an artiste is said to be the moments when you’re being noticed and rewarded for your hardwork and talents.
As Nigerians, we tend to have a widely competitive entertainment industry. Such that does not guarantee a spot for an artiste for too long unless the artistes continue proving himself as being worthy of that post.
WizkidDavidoBurna BoyKizz Daniel, and some few artistes who have proved themselves beyond reasonable doubts that they are more than capable of bringing home the most prestigious award “Grammy” home.
These artistes have won several regional awards within Nigeria over times and have been able to win some skin based awards like BET, and other top Awards in Africa and Nigeria.
These artistes happen to be the luckiest in the industry but have you ever wondered why their lucks have not landed them a Grammy award?
The likes of D’Banj2FaceAsa9ice, And So other top legends have sang their way to the word as well and have subsequently sang about bring the award home.
However, we never give accolades to some of the Nigerians that have gotten the prestigious award not even once.
The likes of Chamillionaire got it once, Sikiru Adepoju (The Talk Rrummer) has 2, Sade Adu has 1, Seal has over 2, Kevin Olusola has 3, among others.
Some Nigerian icons have also been nominated for this award, the likes of; Sunny AdeWizkidTimayaChimamanda Ngozi AdichieFemi KutiSeun Kuti is the latest Nigerian to make the coveted compilation to an extent of even landing a Grammy night performance.

Olamide Keeps Silent Over Allegation Of Infringement On Intellectual Right

RAPPER and record label executive, Olamide ‘Baddo’ Adedeji has kept mum following allegations of infringement on intellectual property rights. Instagram comedian, Yinusa ‘Omopatakii’ Oriyomi has alleged that Olamide infringed on his intellectual property rights with the release of his hit song, ‘Won Ma’ Omopatakii alleged that in August 2019, he released a comedy skit on his Instagram account with the title ‘won ma do’ and six months after, Olamide had released a song using the same phrase in his intro and chorus in February 2020. The Instagram comedian further claimed that he owns and reserves all copyrights in the content and didn’t permit Olamide to continuously use the phrases that include ‘won ma do’ and ‘ole te obinrin lorun’ in his hit song. ‘Won Ma’ is the fifth track on Olamide’s album entitled ‘999’.
